DAY 1

Arrive at Delhi. Traditional greetings upon arrival to the 'Capital City of India' and Transfer by Car/Coach to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 2

Delhi / Lucknow / Sravasthi - Early morning transfer to railway station to connect super fast train at 06:15 hrs.for Lucknow. On arrival Lucknow at 12:15 hrs. straight proceed by Car/Coach for Sravasthi carrying box lunch. On reaching Sravasthi visit temples. Sravasthi was the ancient capital of KosalaKingdom. Here, legend has it, it was that Buddha confounded his critics by creating a vision - a miraculous million-fold self-manifestation seated on a thousand petalled lotus. Thereafter check-in at Hotel. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 3

Sravasthi / Kapilavastu / Lumbini / Kushinagar - After early breakfast, leave Sravasthi early morning for Lumbini carrying box lunch visiting enroute Kapilavastu. At Lumbini in 556 BC Lord Buddha was born. The place now falls in Nepal at Indo-Nepal border. On reaching Lumbini visit the birth place of Lord Buddha. Thereafter leave for Kushinagar. On arrival at Kushinagar at late evening, check-in at Hotel. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 4

Kushinagar / Vaishali / Patna - Early morning visit Buddhist sites at the Kushinagar. Kushinagar is the place where Lord Buddha passed into Mahaparinirvana. The ruins of ten large monasteries bear testimony to the fact that this revered pilgrimage site of great significance. The Muktabandha Stupa, originally believed to have been built to preserve the Buddha's relics. A smaller renovated shrine now encloses massive recumbent figure of the Buddha. After breakfast, leave Kushinagar for Patna carrying box lunch visiting enroute Vaishali which believed to be the first republic of the world having elective body representative, holds special significance for Buddhist devotees. Vaishali was also the centre of the 2nd Buddhist council. It is also famous for Amrapali, the beautiful dancer and courtsean of Vaishali who offered Buddha a mango orchard. She was so impressed by teachings of Lord Buddha, she become Bhikshu in turn. On arrival Patna, check-in at Hotel. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 5

Patna / Nalanda / Rajgir / Bodhgaya - After early breakfast, leave Patna for Bodhgaya visiting enroute Nalanda, once a famous Buddhist University came into prominence around 5th century AD & was a great centre of learning for about 700 years. Huen Tsang, the well known Chinese Traveller who studied at the university in 7th Century has left glowing accounts of its activities of Nalanda & Rajgir. Thereafter visit Rajgir which is an important place for Buddhist Pilgrimage. It was the capital of King Bimbisara in ancient times. The Buddha preached at Rajgir and so did Mahavir, the great preceptor of Jains. The Rajgir hill are known for a large numbers of Buddhist and Jain monuments including stupas and Forts. Lunch at Toursit Bunglow, Rajgir. Thereafter proceed for Bodhgara and check-in at Hotel. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 6

In Bodhgaya - After breakfast, tour of Bodhgaya including visit to Mahabodhi Temple. Bodhgaya is theplace where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. The tree under which Buddha attend wisdom is called the "Bodhi Tree", while the temple marking the sacred spot is known as Mahabodhi Temple. Also visit othertemple like Thai Temple, Chinese temple etc. After lunch free for prayer or rituals. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 7

Bodhgaya / Sarnath / Varanasi - After early breakfast, leave Bodhgaya for Varanasi carrying box lunch. On reaching Varanasi, visit Sarnath where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Sarnath was a renowned school of learning from 6th Century BC to 12th Century AD.Visit the ruins, the Stupa & the Museum where you can see some finest Buddhist frescoes, sculptures & paintings. Therafter check-in at Hotel. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 8

Varanasi / Agra - Early morning transfer to River bank for Boat excursion on the holy River Ganges to see the Bathing Ghats and the Cremation Site. Watching people bathing and worshipping at the Ghats are one of the most unique experiences of visit to India. Return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, half day city tour Varanasi visiting Annapurna Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, New Vishwanath Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir & Banaras Hindu University. After lunch, transfer to railway station to connect train for Agra carrying Box dinner. Overnight in Train.

 

DAY 9

Arrive Agra / Delhi - On arrival Agra at 0700 hrs., transfer to Hotel for breakfast. Thereafter visit world famous Tajmahal built by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan to enshrine the mortal remains of his Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit Fort & marble inlay workshop. After lunch at hotel, leave Agra by Car/Coach. On arrival Delhi, check-in at Hotel. Dinner at local restaurant and Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 10

Leave Delhi - After breakfast, combined sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi including visit to Buddhist Temple. After lunch at a local restaurant, free time for shopping. After early dinner at restaurant, transfer to airport to connect flight for back home.
